There is no god but Allah alone, without partner; His is the dominion and His the praise, and He has power over all things. My Lord, I ask You for the good of this day and the good of what follows it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil of what follows it. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness and the misery of old age. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from punishment in the Fire and punishment in the grave.

O Allah, I ask You to show me what is best through Your knowledge, I ask You for ability through Your power, and I ask You of Your immense bounty; for You are able and I am not, You know and I do not, and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if You know that this matter is good for me in my religion, my livelihood and the outcome of my affairs, then decree it for me, make it easy for me and bless me in it. And if You know that this matter is bad for me in my religion, my livelihood and the outcome of my affairs, then turn it away from me and turn me away from it, decree for me the good wherever it may be, and make me content with it. (Istikhara: after two voluntary rakʿas; name your matter at “this matter”. The narrator adds that he may have said “in my present and future affairs” instead of “the outcome of my affairs”.)

¡Glorificado seas!

¡Creyentes!

    66:8
